For those days where you want a delicious meal but dont want to spend a long time in the kitchen! A peppery sauce over succulent steak and fluffy basmati rice to make it even more irresistible.
Milla grew up in Florida and most of her recipes are inspired by Bahamian, Jamaican, Cuban and Haitian cuisines.
To Serve
Mix the soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch and ginger with a whisk (or fork if you don’t have a whisk) and then add in your steak and let it marinate. Heat a large non-stick pan (or Wok) to medium-high heat and add in vegetable oil.
Add in your steak and cook for about 3-5 minutes then remove from pan into a bowl.
Add in your onion and bell pepper and cook for about 7-10 mins or until the bell pepper is cooked enough for you. *I like my bell pepper to have a crunch so I don’t cook mine very long.
Add back in your steak and black pepper and cook for 3 minutes, plate and serve! *I did not add in any additional salt but if you think you need more feel free to add.
